About the Role
We are seeking an AWS Data & AI Platform Engineer to join our financial services team in Charlotte, NC. In this hybrid capacity, you will serve as a critical architect for building secure, scalable AI platforms tailored for enterprise and highly regulated environments. Your work will directly enable the deployment of next-generation generative AI solutions, ensuring they meet the rigorous compliance and security standards required in the banking and insurance sectors.
This role is designed for a hands-on engineer who thrives at the intersection of cloud infrastructure and artificial intelligence. You will spend your days designing the backbone for AI services, managing containerized workloads on Amazon EKS, and orchestrating serverless workflows. Beyond technical implementation, you will collaborate closely with security, architecture, and risk teams to embed governance and auditability into the very fabric of our AI pipelines.
Work Environment & Culture
As a contract engineer, you will operate within a dynamic, client-focused environment. This position requires a hybrid work model, with a commitment to being in the client office three days per week to support stakeholders and foster collaboration. While the role is primarily based in Charlotte, minimal travel may be required to support specific client needs. Requirements
- verifiedMinimum 5+ years of experience building cloud platforms on AWS

Nice to Have
Experience supporting AI/ML or generative AI platforms in production. Knowledge of data security, model governance, auditability, and access controls. Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK). Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and production operations in enterprise environments.
