The University of Hawaii – West O'ahu is seeking an Assistant or Associate Professor of Cybersecurity to join the Business Administration Division. This tenure-track, full-time role is based in Kapolei, HI, and is integral to the growth of the Cybersecurity and Applied Science programs. The position focuses on the Cyber Operations concentration, as well as Information Technology (IT) and Information Security and Assurance (ISA) concentrations.
As a faculty member, you will serve as a primary educator and scholar within the discipline. Your day-to-day will involve teaching a diverse curriculum ranging from Digital Forensics and Network Security to Modern Cyber Conflicts and IT Project Management. The role requires flexibility in delivery, with responsibilities spanning in-person instruction and distance education technologies.
Beyond the classroom, you will be expected to develop new relevant courses, provide academic advising, and supervise practicum students. A key component of this position is fostering strong relationships with industry employers and alumni to support enrollment management and program development. You will also engage in program assessment, participate in faculty governance, and conduct research or applied scholarship in the field.
