This position serves as a pivotal leader within Property Operations, bridging the gap between technical engineering maintenance and team management. The role exists to ensure the physical plant operates seamlessly while fostering a culture of safety, efficiency, and exceptional guest service. You will supervise the day-to-day operations of the Engineering department, managing everything from HVAC-R and electrical systems to life safety protocols.
In this capacity, you will not only oversee the distribution and quality of repair work orders but also act as the primary point of contact for emergency response services available 24/7. The role requires a hands-on approach to maintaining property standards, including inspecting facilities, operating critical equipment like generators and fire pumps, and managing the procurement of new supplies and furnishings.
Beyond technical oversight, this position is deeply rooted in human resources and team development. You will be responsible for interviewing and hiring team members, conducting orientation programs, and ensuring associates are cross-trained to support daily operations. By maintaining an open-door policy and actively soliciting feedback, you will cultivate a collaborative environment where performance is recognized, and business objectives are clearly communicated across all shifts.
