About the Team

Wells Fargo Commercial Banking Middle Market Group provides comprehensive financial services to commercial customers with annual sales ranging from $25 million to $2 billion. About the Role

The Associate Relationship Manager position is part of the Banker Development Program, a two-year initiative designed to advance the careers of the next generation of bankers in Commercial Banking. This program combines formal training, on-the-job experience, and professional support to prepare participants for future leadership roles in relationship management, sales, or credit.

As an Associate, you will work alongside Senior Relationship Managers, engaging in real client situations to support business growth. You will participate in developing and growing client relationships, structuring and modifying loans, and presenting solutions to financial decision-makers. The role offers a unique opportunity to gain a working knowledge of the organization while exercising independent judgment and developing expertise in relevant policies and compliance requirements.

Candidates are encouraged to apply directly through the Wells Fargo careers portal. Please note that this position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship. The recruitment process may conclude early due to the volume of applicants.

Location & Work Model

This role is based in Virginia with potential locations in Richmond, Virginia Beach, or Roanoke. The position offers a hybrid work schedule (4 days in-office, 1 day remote). Participants must be able to attend four training sessions in Charlotte, NC, during the two-year program. Relocation assistance may be available, and the role requires the ability to travel up to 10% of the time.

In Canada, applications are encouraged from all qualified candidates, including women, persons with disabilities, Aboriginal peoples, and visible minorities. Accommodation for applicants with disabilities is available upon request.

Employees are accountable for executing risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance) and adhering to applicable policies. We emphasize proactive monitoring, governance, and sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit's risk appetite.
