The selected colleague will serve as a Portfolio Manager and Underwriter for designated customers, focusing on the Japanese Corporate loan portfolio. This role is designed for complex relationships, specifically targeting non-investment grade clients, customers with large credit exposure, structured finance transactions, and those with intricate corporate structures. You will function as a subject matter expert, assessing risk across standard bank products including loans, standby letters of credit, trade finance, foreign exchange, derivatives, securitization, and leases.
In this position, you will partner with business lines to identify prospective transactions and lead new deals with moderate complexity. You will advise account officers on credit risk issues and terms to craft the best possible deals, balancing profit improvement with credit cost minimization. The role also involves mentoring junior analysts and supporting department managers in the credit risk management process.
The selected colleague will work at an MUFG office or client sites four days per week and work remotely one day. A member of our recruitment team will provide more details regarding the specific location and schedule.
