This position serves as a pivotal leadership role within the Acute Care Hospital Tower, dedicated to ensuring high-quality patient care and optimal outcomes. The primary purpose is to assist in the daily management of unit activities, bridging the gap between clinical operations and administrative oversight. You will be responsible for supervising and developing staff, managing budgets, and coordinating patient services to maintain the highest standards of care.
Your day involves a dynamic blend of clinical leadership and operational management. You will directly supervise nursing and ancillary staff, managing time, attendance, and patient care activities while motivating and evaluating team performance. As a clinical resource, you will serve as a role model, providing education and guidance to ensure staff competence and adherence to protocols.
Beyond direct supervision, you will assess patient needs, plan discharges, and arrange support services. You will analyze work processes to improve unit efficiency and productivity, tracking quality metrics and survey data to drive continuous improvement. Collaboration is key; you will work closely with physicians, multidisciplinary teams, and external agencies to evaluate and enhance patient services. Additionally, you will assist in facility management, ensuring equipment is functioning properly and the environment remains safe and clean.
