The Associate Market Clinical Director is a pivotal leadership role designed to directly supervise, performance manage, and train Clinical Directors within an assigned market. This position is accountable for center performance objectives, P&L, growth, and culture. While the role is heavily focused on leadership responsibilities—including Clinical Director performance, engagement, and building a strong clinical-operations synergy—the incumbent will also allocate a portion of their time to direct patient care as a Primary Care Physician (PCP) and/or other clinical duties. The specific allocation of time depends on factors such as PCP capacity, market needs, center size, patient membership, and Regional President direction.
In this role, you will cultivate a center-level physician culture fully aligned with the ChenMed core model, values, and service standards. You will partner with the Clinical Center of Excellence and Talent Acquisition to support the clinical talent lifecycle, accelerating growth by hiring, managing, and mentoring physicians. You will also establish successful relationships with payers, specialists, the community, and hospitals, while driving a local social media presence.

3 years of clinical experience (minimum 2 required). One year of previous experience as a Medical Director or equivalent with a Medicare or Medicaid patient population. Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Geriatrics, or similar (Board eligibility required). Experience working with interdisciplinary teams in quality improvement and/or medical/healthcare leadership activities. Existing high-performing PCP partner and/or Medical Director within the ChenMed core model with a proven ability to manage a panel of >400 patients with outstanding clinical, customer service, and cost outcomes. Having been with the organization for >2 years. Being a recognized leader amongst peers. Ability to lead teams in quality and performance improvement initiatives.
Skills: Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Outlook, Electronic Medical Record, Emr, Managed Care Delivery System, Clinical Outcomes, Quality Improvement Processes.
Education: MD or DO in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Geriatrics or similar specialty required.
