The Associate Market Clinical Director is a pivotal leadership role designed to directly supervise, performance manage, and train Clinical Directors within an assigned market. This position is accountable for center performance objectives, P&L, growth, and culture, while ensuring overall clinical outcomes are met.
The role offers a dynamic blend of clinical practice and leadership. A portion of your time will be dedicated to direct patient care as a Primary Care Physician (PCP) or other clinical duties, while the remainder is allocated to leadership responsibilities. These include managing Clinical Director performance, fostering engagement, and building a strong clinical-operations synergy. The specific allocation of time depends on factors such as PCP capacity, market needs, center size, patient membership, and direction from the Regional President.
In this role, you will cultivate a center-level physician culture fully aligned with ChenMed’s core model, values, and service standards. You will partner with the Clinical Center of Excellence and Talent Acquisition to support the clinical talent lifecycle, from recruiting to mentoring. Additionally, you will establish relationships with payers, specialists, and the community, driving local social media presence and responding with urgency to workplace concerns.

3 years of clinical experience; 1 year of previous experience as a Medical Director or equivalent with a Medicare or Medicaid patient population; Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Geriatrics or similar; Experience working with interdisciplinary teams in quality improvement and/or medical/healthcare leadership activities; Existing high performing PCP partner and/or Medical Director within the ChenMed core model with a proven ability to manage a panel of >400 patients with outstanding clinical, customer service and cost outcomes; Having been with the organization >2 years; Being a recognized leader amongst peers; Ability to lead teams in quality and performance improvement initiatives; Demonstrated leadership within a specialty with a proven ability to deliver primary care in the model.
