About the Role

This position serves as a vital link between patients and providers, ensuring a seamless experience from intake to treatment. You will be the face of our team, managing patient flow, maintaining accurate medical records, and facilitating the daily operations of our clinic.
In this role, you will work under the general direction of our physicians to support the delivery of high-quality pain management services. Your day will involve a dynamic mix of clinical and administrative tasks, including entering patient data into our Electronic Medical Record (EMR), collecting vital signs, and assisting with procedures. You will play a key part in maintaining a positive, professional atmosphere where patient satisfaction and safety are paramount.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleEnter patient intake and provider orders into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
- check_circleAssist patients with medical forms and prepare all necessary requisitions
- check_circleProcess and label specimens for testing and distribute them to appropriate personnel
- check_circleMonitor personal and provider staff task buckets in the EMR and assist with Workers Compensation medication
- check_circleRecord vital signs and medical history while verifying patient information
- check_circleMaintain examination rooms, clinical areas, and lab areas in a clean and safe condition
- check_circleAnswer telephones professionally, return patient calls, and relay provider orders to patients
- check_circleDraw up injections, fit patients for durable medical equipment, and dispense educational materials
- check_circleObtain prior authorizations for radiology and prescriptions and verify receipt of medical records
- check_circlePrepare, clean, and maintain ultrasound machines and sterilize examination instruments
Requirements
- verifiedHigh School Diploma or equivalent
- verifiedKnowledge of Internet and Microsoft Office software
- verifiedWorking knowledge of healthcare field, medical specialty, and medical terminology
- verifiedCompletion of Nurse Aide, Medical Assistant, or EMS training program with current certification or licensure (preferred)
- verifiedOne year of prior experience in a medical practice (preferred)
- verifiedOne year of prior experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) (preferred)
- verifiedCurrent Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (preferred)
- verifiedReliable transportation
Nice to Have
Completion of a Nurse Aide, Medical Assistant, or EMS training program with current certification or licensure. One year of prior experience working in a medical practice. One year of prior experience working with an Electronic Medical Record (EMR). Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
