About the Role
This Registered Nurse position serves as a vital member of a multidisciplinary team, collaborating closely with physicians to deliver primary care. The role encompasses the full spectrum of patient management, including assessment, treatment planning, medical care evaluation, and the provision of physical and psychological support to patients, families, and friends.
As a team member, you will oversee assigned personnel where applicable and function both independently and collaboratively. The position requires a commitment to maintaining high standards of care while adapting to changing workloads and patient conditions. You will be expected to cross-train across various nursing areas, including Acute Care, the Emergency Department, Operating Room, and Outpatient settings, ensuring flexibility and broad clinical expertise.
Day in the Life
Your day will involve developing and implementing individualized, goal-directed nursing care plans using the nursing process. You will provide direct patient care, perform unit-specific competencies, and manage clinical services within your scope of practice. Key responsibilities include conducting patient assessments, transcribing and implementing provider orders, and maintaining accurate documentation in the electronic health record.
You will also play a crucial role in infection control, safety compliance, and the proper disposal of biohazardous materials. A significant part of the role involves educating patients and families regarding their health needs, anticipating patient issues, and solving problems as they arise. Additionally, you may be called upon to precept new personnel and assist with their orientation.

Requirements
- verifiedGraduate of accredited RN program
- verifiedCurrent Montana RN license or multi-state compact license
- verifiedHealthcare Provider CPR and/or BLS certification
- verifiedNRP, PALS, ACLS within 12 months of hire (Status employees)
- verifiedTNCC or ENPC and Stable within 18 months of hire (Status employees)
- verifiedKnowledge of HIPAA guidelines
- verifiedComputer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
Nice to Have
BSN degree. Minimum of one (1) year experience in a similar position within a medical setting (e.g., acute care, clinic, or other hospital experience). Experience in assigned area(s). NRP, PALS, ACLS, TNCC, ENPC, and Stable certifications (for PRN employees). Knowledge of universal blood and body fluid precautions. Knowledge of OSHA rules and regulations, established protocols for storing poisons, narcotics, acids, caustics, and flammable items, and restrictions imposed by various managed care carriers.
