The Mishkon Division provides support and services in a healthy and safe environment for adults living with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) in residential programs and in the community. Our core values are to provide a healthy and safe environment that promotes person-centered planning, community integration, and close collaboration with families and the community. This is all accomplished through an Orthodox Jewish lens, with an understanding that staff, at all levels of the division, is the determining factor in achieving positive outcomes for our clients.
As a Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional (QIDP), you will be responsible for the development, implementation, and facilitation of a person-centered plan process for individuals served in an Intermediate Care Facility (ICF). This role ensures the coordination and integration of active treatment services in compliance with OPWDD, CMS, and DOH regulations. You will serve as a strong advocate for individuals, promoting their rights, dignity, preferences, and choices in all aspects of care planning and delivery.
Your day will involve close collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, families, and external stakeholders to monitor service delivery and support continuous, competent training for both individuals and staff. You will observe and evaluate daily interactions to assess program effectiveness, ensuring that active treatment principles are consistently implemented across settings, including the Mishkon Day program. By maintaining meticulous documentation and leading team meetings, you will help individuals achieve independence and functional skill development.
Candidates selected for an interview will be contacted directly by the hiring team to schedule a conversation regarding their experience and fit for the role. Please note that this position requires onsite work five days per week, with a standard schedule of Monday through Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, including flexibility for program needs such as early and late shifts for observations.
The Jewish Board is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We consider qualified applicants regardless of background, race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or disability status. We are dedicated to fostering a culture where diverse perspectives drive our mission forward.
