Assistant Managers drive sales, services, and customer engagement within the store, ensuring the business is always ready for its customers. In this role, you and your team will establish lasting customer relationships that build loyalty, provide total solutions to meet specific needs, and grow the business. You will guide your team to be positive, inclusive, and collaborative, helping customers achieve their goals while embodying Staples values and commitment to the community.
You will provide strong leadership in community engagement, customer service, sales, and team development. As a key partner to the General Manager, you share responsibility for total store operations, cost control, and acting as the Floor Leader. Your daily direction will focus on merchandising opportunities, establishing a business cadence for sales readiness, and developing a high-performing team through coaching, training, and role-playing. You will champion company initiatives, adapting flexibly to change while driving conversions and delivering exceptional store experiences.
