Volunteers of America Mid-States is a non-profit organization spanning four states, dedicated to creating positive change in the lives of individuals and communities through a ministry of service. Since our founding in 1896, the spirit of "volunteer" has defined our mission: anyone who serves others as a vocation through a commitment to a cause. Today, we are staffed by paid, mission-driven professionals working to build thriving communities.
We provide housing for families, veterans, and low-income seniors, alongside care and support for individuals with developmental disabilities. Our work also encompasses healing accountability through restorative justice and free HIV testing and education. Flexibility, teamwork, and fun are core reasons our employees are proud to work at VOA.
As an Assistant Property Manager for Monarch Station, you will support the daily operations of our Development Disability Homes in Louisville, KY. Reporting to the Associate Director of HUD Housing, you will partner with leadership to manage administrative duties for both internal and external agencies while maintaining positive, supportive relationships with our residents.
This role is vital to ensuring the property runs smoothly and complies with all regulatory requirements. You will assist in bookkeeping, marketing, and lease preparations, ensuring proper resident certification and compliance with HUD and other agency guidelines. Your day will involve responding to resident requests, inspecting the property to ensure building and grounds are well-maintained, and collaborating with the Performance Quality Improvement (PQI) committee to drive continuous service excellence.
We offer a comprehensive benefits package designed to support a healthy work-life balance, with all company-paid benefits and paid time off effective from day one. Our culture is built on the foundation of our mission-driven values, reflected in our active committees: Work Culture, Commitment, Justice, Integrity, Compassion, and Retention.
Benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 403b retirement plan with company matching, life insurance, and access to loan forgiveness options through federal programs like the National Health Corps and Public Service Loan Forgiveness.
Volunteers of America is an equal opportunity employer. We consider all qualified applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, pregnancy, age, national origin, disability status, genetic information, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
