The School of Global Health (SGH) at Meharry Medical College invites applications for Assistant or Associate Professor positions in Health Services Research and Implementation Science. SGH is committed to offering a premier, cross-disciplinary educational experience that prepares students to design, implement, and evaluate interventions that improve outcomes across diverse communities and contexts.
Aligned with SGH's mission to advance health equity, the School fosters a vibrant, collaborative academic environment where innovation in research, evaluation, and community engagement drives measurable improvements in population health outcomes. Faculty in this role will contribute to expanding the School's foundation in implementation science and applied research by developing and applying cutting-edge methodologies that guide data-driven decision-making.
We seek innovative scholars who advance population health science, implementation research, and program evaluation—particularly those developing new monitoring, assessment, and evaluation (MAE) frameworks that strengthen the real-world impact of public health and health systems interventions.
In this position, you will help translate implementation and evaluation science into real-world applications by building cross-disciplinary collaborations with clinicians, public health leaders, agencies, community partners, and policymakers. You will leverage opportunities for cross-campus collaboration across Meharry's health systems, community partners, and national and global health networks. The role offers a unique opportunity to lead an externally funded research program while integrating robust MAE processes into research and practice, establishing baselines, measuring fidelity, and evaluating outcomes to elevate the visibility of the School of Global Health.
