The University of Utah Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences is seeking a visionary leader to join our Cardiothoracic Imaging (CTI) section as the Director of Thoracic Imaging. This role sits at the intersection of clinical excellence, academic leadership, and strategic growth. As a member of the departmental leadership team, the Director will report to the CTI Section Chief and serve as a key stakeholder in the university's thoracic imaging research mission.
The Department provides clinical services across the University Hospital, Huntsman Cancer Hospital (an NCI-designated premier cancer center), and multiple outpatient centers throughout the Wasatch Front. Our facilities are supported by state-of-the-art resources, including the Utah Center for Advanced Imaging Research (UCAIR), which manages four research-dedicated MRI scanners and offers access to pre-clinical imaging technologies like 7T MRI and micro-PET/MRI. Investigators also benefit from institutional resources such as the Center for High Performance Computing and the Utah Population Database.
