About the Role
Be the heart of compassionate care in this vital patient care support role. You will provide essential assistance and comfort to patients, ensuring they receive the best possible experience during their healthcare journey. Under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, you will assist in the efficient and accurate preparation, dispensing, and delivery of pharmaceuticals and supplies.
In this position, you will consult with medical staff, nurses, and other healthcare providers to coordinate the delivery of pharmaceuticals to patients. You will also participate in educational programs and projects designed to improve the clinical and operational components of the department, helping to develop your philosophy relative to your responsibility in providing optimum care. The depth of your involvement will be directly related to your academic standing or year of professional education.
About the Facility
The Children's Hospital of Michigan is an international leader in pediatric and adolescent medicine. Our surgical services include general, thoracic, reconstructive, and cardiovascular procedures. We utilize imaging technology designed specifically for children to provide advanced diagnostic services, including Positron Emission Tomography (PET) and MRI.
The Children's Hospital of Michigan Emergency Department is a verified Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center and a dedicated pediatric burn center.
