The Assistant Medical Director serves as a pivotal leader within a Patient Centered Health Home, bridging the gap between high-level medical strategy and frontline clinical execution. This role exists to ensure that doctoral-level medical providers receive the supervision, mentorship, and operational support necessary to deliver exceptional, accessible care to the communities we serve.
In this position, you will not only oversee the performance and development of departmental staff but also maintain an active clinical practice. You will embody the organization's mission by fostering a culture of accountability and excellence, ensuring that every team member is empowered to meet rigorous clinical goals while adhering to the highest standards of patient safety and regulatory compliance.
Your day will be a dynamic blend of leadership and direct patient care. You might begin by leading a clinical huddle to address immediate patient needs and coordinate with ancillary health team members. Following this, you will engage in performance management activities, including coaching, evaluations, and strategic planning to align the department with the organization's broader objectives.
Interspersed with these administrative duties, you will provide direct primary care services. This involves conducting examinations, reviewing diagnostic results, and managing both acute and chronic conditions within a holistic, family-centered framework. You will also act as a key advisor to the Medical Directors, contributing to the design and implementation of network-wide programs that enhance access to care and health promotion.
We are dedicated to creating a workforce that reflects the diverse communities we serve. As an equal opportunity employer, we consider qualified applicants regardless of background, race, religion, gender, or disability status. We believe that a diverse team drives better health outcomes and innovation in patient care.
Candidates must possess a valid license to practice medicine in the state of California. Interested applicants should submit their credentials demonstrating their advanced medical training and leadership experience. We look for individuals who are ready to advocate for structured evaluation, early intervention, and health promotion in their daily practice.
