As an Assist Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a vital support role in ensuring smooth manufacturing production. Your primary mission is to help avoid or address production problems and assist in the introduction of new product processes and equipment. You will work alongside engineers to carry out studies, evaluations, and formal qualifications, ensuring that new techniques and procedures are successfully implemented.
Your day will involve a mix of technical troubleshooting and documentation. You will monitor, troubleshoot, and repair production equipment and tooling, while also overseeing the ordering and replacement of necessary resources. A significant portion of your time will be dedicated to analyzing and interpreting production machine outputs within databases.
You will also serve as a key trainer for production operators, teaching them the proper use of equipment and new processing techniques. Additionally, you will draft Engineering Request Forms and Engineering Change Orders to facilitate special processing and implement new workflows. This role requires you to follow all company guidelines while operating in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment, potentially within an open cubicle setting.
This position is based in Tempe, AZ, with a schedule of 40 hours per week from Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. The role is a 6-month contract. While performing duties, you may be required to stand, walk, sit, and manipulate tools or controls. The environment may involve exposure to low voltage and high voltage systems.
