About the Role
Care Options for Kids is seeking a skilled and compassionate American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreter to support students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing in accessing their full academic and social potential for the 2026–2027 school year. In this role, you will facilitate communication and promote language access, ensuring students can fully participate in the general education curriculum.
You will provide direct interpreting services across classroom instruction, small group settings, and one-on-one interactions. Your day will involve collaborating with general education teachers, special education staff, Teachers of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, Speech-Language Pathologists, and families to support students in accessing classroom discussions and activities. You will also participate in IEP meetings to ensure communication access is maintained in compliance with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act.
