ASL Interpreter

About the Role

Care Options for Kids is seeking a skilled and compassionate American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreter to support students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing in accessing their full academic and social potential for the 2026–2027 school year. In this role, you will facilitate communication and promote language access to ensure students can fully participate in the general education curriculum.

You will provide direct interpreting services across classroom instruction, small group settings, and one-on-one interactions. Your work will extend to school activities, meetings, and events, utilizing American Sign Language (ASL), Signed Exact English (SEE), or other communication modalities based on individual student needs. You will act as a vital bridge between students, teachers, peers, and school staff, supporting access to classroom discussions and collaborating with general education teachers, special education staff, Teachers of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, Speech-Language Pathologists, and families.
