This position serves as a critical technical resource for aseptic liquid processing and packaging across all Kroger Manufacturing food plants. The role exists to drive the company's "Customer 1st" strategy by ensuring the highest standards of Safety, Quality, and Reliability (SQR) in our manufacturing operations. You will act as a leader who embodies the 7 Kroger Manufacturing High Performance Work System principles, translating complex engineering challenges into safe, efficient, and accurate solutions.
In this role, you will function as a strategic contributor to the development of Kroger Manufacturing's aseptic product strategy. Your day-to-day involves creating detailed engineering and design plans for a diverse range of products, including dairy, juices, blended products, viscous concentrates, and pastes. You will be responsible for optimizing and troubleshooting existing aseptic manufacturing lines to enhance quality and productivity while managing multiple projects from conception to completion, including manpower, budgets, and scheduling.
Beyond technical execution, you will evaluate new equipment and technologies, conduct feasibility studies, and participate in industry tradeshows to identify innovations applicable to the Kroger Company. A key aspect of this position is ensuring that all solutions incorporate personnel safety, food safety, and regulatory requirements, maintaining an up-to-date awareness of Federal, State, and Local engineering codes. You will also support the ongoing improvement of SQF Systems and adhere to Kroger Manufacturing Food Safety and Quality Principles.

Experience in the food manufacturing industry with a strong preference for dairy or beverage. Capital project management experience greater than $1MM. Knowledge of other liquid food and beverage processing technologies including extended shelflife (ESL), ultra clean, and hot fill. Proven experience in food safety, hygienic design, aseptic, beverage, dairy, and juice design standards.
