This position serves as a technical expert and process guide for aseptic liquid processing and packaging across all Kroger Manufacturing food plants. The role is designed to maintain and elevate plant performance by integrating Safety, Quality, and Reliability (SQR) with the "Customer 1st" strategy. You will provide leadership that embodies the 7 Kroger Manufacturing High Performance Work System principles while demonstrating core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.
In this capacity, you will function as a key contributor to the development of Kroger Manufacturing's aseptic product strategy. Your work involves creating detailed engineering and design plans for a diverse range of products, including dairy, juices, blended products, viscous concentrates, and pastes. You will optimize, troubleshoot, and maintain existing aseptic manufacturing lines to enhance quality, productivity, and safety, while preparing conceptual designs to enhance the current or new aseptic product portfolio.
The role requires managing multiple assigned projects, establishing manpower, budgets, scheduling, equipment, and materials. You will evaluate and present appropriate current and new equipment and technology, conduct feasibility studies, and perform cost-benefit analyses. Additionally, you will participate in industry tradeshows and technical conferences to identify new technologies and innovations applicable to the company. Throughout all solutions, you will incorporate personnel safety, food safety, and regulatory requirements, ensuring an up-to-date awareness of Federal, State, and Local engineering codes.
You will be accountable to the Kroger Manufacturing Food Safety and Quality Principles and support the development, implementation, and ongoing improvement of SQF Systems. The role involves working around ingredients and/or finished products known to contain food allergens and may require independent travel as needed.

Experience in the food manufacturing industry with a strong preference for dairy or beverage. Capital project management experience greater than $1MM. Knowledge of other liquid food and beverage processing technologies including extended shelflife (ESL), ultra clean, and hot fill. Proven experience in food safety, hygienic design, aseptic, beverage, dairy, and juice design standards.
