This position serves as a technical expert and process guide for aseptic liquid processing and packaging across all Kroger Manufacturing food plants. The role exists to drive the company's "Customer 1st" strategy by ensuring the highest standards of Safety, Quality, and Reliability (SQR) in aseptic operations. You will embody the 7 Kroger Manufacturing High Performance Work System principles while upholding core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.
In this capacity, you will function as a key contributor to the development of Kroger Manufacturing's aseptic product strategy. Your day-to-day involves creating detailed engineering and design plans for a diverse range of products, including dairy, juices, blended products, viscous concentrates, and pastes. You will be responsible for optimizing, troubleshooting, and maintaining existing aseptic manufacturing lines to enhance quality, productivity, and safety. Additionally, you will manage multiple projects, overseeing manpower, budgets, scheduling, equipment, and materials, while evaluating and presenting both current and emerging technologies to the team.
The role requires a proactive approach to innovation, including preparing conceptual process and packaging designs to enhance the existing or new aseptic product portfolio. You will conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses, while staying ahead of industry trends by participating in tradeshows and technical conferences. A critical aspect of the job is ensuring that all solutions incorporate personnel safety, food safety, and regulatory requirements, maintaining an up-to-date awareness of Federal, State, and Local engineering codes. You will also support the development and improvement of SQF Systems, ensuring accountability to Kroger Manufacturing Food Safety and Quality Principles.

Experience in the food manufacturing industry with a strong preference for dairy or beverage. Capital project management experience greater than $1MM. Knowledge of other liquid food and beverage processing technologies including extended shelflife (ESL), ultra clean, and hot fill. Proven experience in food safety, hygienic design, aseptic, beverage, dairy, and juice design standards.
