This position serves as a technical expert and process guide for aseptic liquid processing and packaging across all Kroger Manufacturing food plants. The role is designed to maintain and elevate performance in Safety, Quality, and Reliability (SQR) while driving the "Customer 1st" strategy. You will function as a key contributor to the development of the company's aseptic product strategy, creating detailed engineering plans for a diverse portfolio ranging from dairy and juices to viscous concentrates and pastes.
In this capacity, you will lead projects that optimize existing manufacturing lines, troubleshoot complex issues, and prepare conceptual designs to enhance the current product offering. The role requires balancing technical innovation with operational excellence, ensuring that all solutions incorporate personnel safety, food safety, and regulatory compliance. You will be accountable to Kroger Manufacturing's Food Safety and Quality Principles and expected to embody the 7 High Performance Work System principles, demonstrating core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.
Success in this role requires a commitment to producing safe, high-quality foods that meet rigorous regulatory and company standards. You will be expected to maintain an up-to-date awareness of Federal, State, and Local engineering codes and support the ongoing improvement of SQF Systems. The position involves working in environments where ingredients and finished products may contain food allergens, requiring strict adherence to safety protocols. Travel is required as needed to support various plant locations and industry engagements.

Experience in the food manufacturing industry with a strong preference for dairy or beverage. Capital project management experience greater than $1MM. Knowledge of other liquid food and beverage processing technologies including extended shelflife (ESL), ultra clean, and hot fill. Proven experience in food safety, hygienic design, aseptic, beverage, dairy, and juice design standards.
