This position serves as a technical expert and process guide for aseptic liquid processing and packaging across all Kroger Manufacturing food plants. The role is designed to maintain and elevate plant performance by integrating Safety, Quality, and Reliability (SQR) with the "Customer 1st" strategy. You will function as a key contributor to the development of the company's aseptic product strategy, creating detailed engineering plans for a diverse portfolio ranging from dairy and juices to viscous concentrates and pastes.
The day-to-day involves optimizing and troubleshooting existing manufacturing lines to enhance productivity and safety while managing complex projects that require precise manpower, budget, and scheduling oversight. You will evaluate new technologies, conduct feasibility studies, and ensure all solutions strictly adhere to personnel safety, food safety, and regulatory requirements. Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field, along with significant progressive engineering experience in food, beverage, and dairy processing. Experience in the food manufacturing industry with a strong preference for dairy or beverage. Capital project management experience greater than $1MM. Knowledge of other liquid food and beverage processing technologies including extended shelflife (ESL), ultra clean, and hot fill. Proven experience in food safety, hygienic design, aseptic, beverage, dairy, and juice design standards.
