UofL Health is a fully integrated regional academic health system comprising five hospitals, four medical centers, nearly 200 physician practice locations, and the renowned Frazier Rehab Institute and Brown Cancer Center. With a team of more than 12,000 highly skilled professionals—including physicians, surgeons, nurses, and pharmacists—we are united by a single mission: delivering patient-centered care to every patient, every day.
This position serves as a vital support partner to the anesthesia provider, ensuring the safe, efficient, and cost-effective administration of anesthesia for both routine and complex surgical and non-surgical cases. You will be the backbone of the operating room's anesthesia workflow, responsible for the acquisition, preparation, and maintenance of all necessary equipment and supplies.
Your day involves a dynamic blend of technical precision and patient advocacy. You will assist in the setup of patient monitoring devices, anesthesia delivery systems, and critical lines such as A-Lines and Central Lines using strict sterile techniques. From helping position patients and assisting with intubation to managing the transition between cases and transporting patients to recovery, your role ensures seamless continuity of care. You will also troubleshoot equipment alarms, manage inventory, and perform diagnostic procedures under the direction of the anesthesia team, all while maintaining a neat and compliant work environment.
At UofL Health, we expect every employee to embody our core values of honesty, integrity, and compassion. We believe in honoring the dignity of all persons, working collaboratively as a team, and continuously seeking better ways to meet the needs of those we serve. In this role, you will contribute to a culture where resources are used wisely, feedback is welcomed, and the success of the patient experience is the priority of every interaction.
