Located at the UCHealth Anschutz Pavilion in Aurora, our department is a pioneer in solid organ transplantation, specializing in kidney, liver, pancreas, heart/lung transplants, thoracic surgery, and hepatology. We hold the distinction of being the only academic medical center in the Rocky Mountain region with a dedicated Transplant specialty unit. Our team has extensive experience with living donor liver transplants and is recognized for advancing care in these complex fields.
This position offers a dynamic opportunity to work within a fast-paced, innovative clinical environment where you will provide top-of-scope nursing practice in direct patient care. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team dedicated to achieving exceptional outcomes for patients with moderate to high acuity needs in our specialty Acute Care (Med-Surg) units. The role emphasizes evidence-based practice, prioritizing patient perspectives and wellness while contributing to safety and quality at the point of care.
As a member of our team, you will model proficiency by precepting those new to healthcare or UCHealth, welcoming new knowledge, and adhering to core curriculum standards such as those from the American Society of PeriAnesthesia Nurses (ASPN). This is a full-time role with a 72-hour pay period schedule, featuring a Day/Night rotation or Night shift option. We offer 13-week assignments with extension options and a competitive pay rate of $50.00 per hour, plus a travel package/stipend.
This position will remain open for a minimum of three days until a top applicant is identified. Interested candidates should ensure they possess a CO RN license or eNLC privileges, one year of experience, and a current BLS card from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross before the start date.
