As an Echocardiograph Technologist, you will perform cardiac ultrasound examinations according to physician's orders, utilizing a variety of complex ultrasound equipment to objectively identify the presence or absence of disease.
Your role involves assisting physicians with invasive echocardiography examinations, including transesophageal echocardiography, echo-guided procedures, pericardiocentesis, and contrast-enhanced exams. You will have the ability to modify procedures to meet special circumstances and provide clinically useful information on a cost-effective basis. Associate's Degree in Applied Science from a CAAHPE accredited school in Noninvasive Cardiovascular Technology or Diagnostic Medical Sonography. 1 year experience performing cardiovascular ultrasound examinations or minimum of 800 exams using all imaging modalities available. Pediatric echocardiography experience. Familiarity with imaging support of advanced heart failure patients (mechanical support devices). Experience with echo guided trans-catheter procedures.
