As an Infection Preventionist (IP) with SEARHC, you will serve as a vital leader in surveillance, analysis, and reporting of healthcare-associated infections (HAI). This role exists to ensure rigorous infection prevention and control standards that meet the requirements of major regulatory bodies, including the Joint Commission, OSHA, CMS, CDC, and FDA.
In this position, you will collaborate with the Infection Prevention & Control Committee to set goals based on risk assessments and evidence-based practices. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the consortium-wide infection prevention program, ensuring all policies align with national guidelines. Your day-to-day work involves collecting and analyzing data for the National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN), educating staff, patients, and visitors on infection control, and acting as a liaison to public health entities. You will also serve as a co-chair for the IPC committee and travel to various SEARHC sites to assess needs and provide training.
