About the Role
This position serves as a critical support function within a DoD flying unit, ensuring the seamless execution of flight operations and training schedules. You will act as the operational hub, managing complex long- and short-range schedules for flying, ground, and academic activities while facilitating qualification, upgrade, test, exercise, and continuation training in alignment with Department of Defense priorities.
Your day will involve tracking aircrew availability to meet assigned sortie taskings and monitoring daily training activities and accomplishments to accommodate last-minute changes. You will collaborate with the Operations Support Office (OSO) and Operations Support Team (OST) for exercises and special events, coordinating with various agencies to ensure appropriate training loads are assigned to each line schedule. Additionally, you will produce essential documentation, including Flight Authorizations, weekly security requirements lists for JPAS letters, and Flying Hour Program reports.
