This position serves as a vital support partner to special education teachers and certified personnel, dedicated to implementing instructional programs and support services for students with diverse needs. The role is designed to foster a quality, desegregated educational environment where every student receives the attention and care necessary to succeed.
In this capacity, you will work closely with the classroom team to reinforce instructional activities, assist in the preparation of lesson plans, and ensure students have the resources they need to learn. The position requires a high level of adaptability, as you will support students with varying physical needs, including assistance with feeding, toileting, and dressing, while also managing behavior and collecting data to track progress.
Beyond the classroom, you will play a key role in the daily logistics of student life, assisting with transportation to and from learning sites and supervising students during lunch, recess, and bus duties. Your commitment to confidentiality and positive interpersonal relations is essential as you navigate the unique challenges and rewards of special education support.
