Key Responsibilities
- check_circleAssist in the supervision, care, and instruction of students with special needs
- check_circleImplement instructional plans and Individual Educational Plans (IEP) as designated by teachers
- check_circleMonitor student behavior and model evidence-based behavior intervention strategies
- check_circleSupport students with daily living skills including toileting, feeding, and positioning
- check_circleAssist with medical-related duties such as catheterization and assistive breathing devices
- check_circleCoordinate with specialists to develop and implement behavior and crisis safety plans
- check_circleSupervise students during non-instructional periods including lunch and free time
- check_circleAssist with the coordination of school and home supports and related services
- check_circlePerform clerical duties including typing, filing, and maintaining student records
- check_circleProvide direct support for students transitioning between educational settings
- check_circleCollect, maintain, and analyze student training data and behavior logs
- check_circleMaintain a detailed notebook containing behavior logs, incident reports, and communication logs
