The Agency Asset Manager I serves as a vital member of the Agency Finance Asset Management team, focusing on Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac collateral inspections. In this capacity, you will conduct comprehensive physical inspections of multifamily assets to support Underwriting and Asset Management functions. Your work ensures that property conditions are accurately assessed, compliance standards are met, and detailed reporting is delivered to stakeholders.
This role requires a blend of on-site fieldwork and analytical reporting. You will navigate large properties, inspecting building systems such as HVAC, plumbing, and electrical infrastructure, as well as structural elements like roofs and grounds. A significant portion of your day involves coordinating with property management to access apartment units, identifying safety hazards like mold or water damage, and documenting necessary repairs with estimated costs. The position demands frequent travel to various locations and the physical ability to perform thorough walkthroughs, including climbing ladders for roof inspections.

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or Economics. At least 4 years of experience in commercial real estate or property management. At least 3 years of GSE (Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac) or CMBS experience. At least 3 years of experience with loan asset management. At least 3 years of experience conducting site inspections with a firm understanding of MBA Guidelines. Knowledge of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac inspection requirements. Knowledge of Property Condition Assessments (PCAs). Ability to use cameras and software for data collection and report submission. Strong written and oral communication skills. High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Qualified GSE Inspector.
