The Adoption Case Manager Supervisor is a pivotal leadership position designed to ensure the highest quality of care for children and families in the Florida Dependency system. This role goes beyond standard supervision; it is about cultivating a team of skilled professionals who can navigate complex child welfare statutes and administrative codes with empathy and precision.
In this position, you will serve as the primary mentor and guide for a unit of case managers. Your day involves a dynamic blend of strategic oversight and hands-on support. You will review high-risk cases, conduct one-on-one discussions to drive continuous improvement, and participate in court proceedings to advocate for the team's work. A significant portion of your time will be dedicated to the onboarding and development of new staff, ensuring they are fully equipped with the necessary certifications and trauma-informed practices. You will foster a culture of excellence by identifying performance needs, creating targeted training plans, and facilitating team-building activities that strengthen the unit's cohesion.
As a leader, you are the integrator of all services for each child, ensuring that therapy, health, education, and permanency supports are seamlessly coordinated. You will also be responsible for maintaining a positive public image, treating all customers, the public, and staff with courtesy, respect, and dignity.
Candidates selected for this role will undergo a background screening in accordance with the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse. The process includes a review of qualifications against the specific requirements for Child Protection Certification and a demonstration of sensitivity to the cultural and socioeconomic characteristics of the service population.
