Carnegie Mellon University's Heinz College of Information Systems and Public Policy offers a unique academic experience, preparing students to conduct objective data analysis, leverage information technology, and lead change in managerial and policy contexts. The college is comprised of the School of Public Policy and Management and the School of Information Systems and Management.

Within the Heinz College, the Student Experience and Engagement (SEE) office cultivates a vibrant, universal community where students feel seen, supported, and empowered to thrive. Grounded in objectiveness and belonging, SEE develops an ecosystem of support that promotes well-being, leadership development, student success, and community connection. The office is committed to creating a dynamic student experience that equips individuals to reach their full potential and become responsible global citizens.

The Administrative Coordinator will manage administrative, operational, and logistical support for these two vital offices. Reporting to the Director of SEE, this role is designed to advance efforts that directly impact the student journey. The ideal candidate embodies adaptability, excellence, and passion, interacting with a varied population of internal and external partners at a high level of integrity. This position is a vital support function that upholds the university's mission through dedicated service.

Key Responsibilities

  • check_circleOversee P-Card and purchase order administration and reconcile monthly accounting statements
  • check_circleFacilitate employee reimbursements and process various payment forms accurately
  • check_circleCoordinate on- and off-site events including venue procurement, catering, and signage
  • check_circleManage complex calendars and arrange travel logistics for department staff
  • check_circleServe as primary point of contact for internal and external partners handling inquiries
  • check_circleEvaluate and optimize administrative workflows to improve departmental efficiency
  • check_circlePerform other related administrative duties as assigned to support the department's mission

Requirements
