This position serves as a vital administrative hub for the Northeast Region, specifically supporting Area 1 and Area 5. You will be the first point of contact for the public, agencies, and customers, providing essential clerical support to Area Wildlife Managers and Assistant Managers.
Your day will involve a dynamic blend of customer service, office management, and financial administration. You will manage the front desk, selling licenses, and answering technical questions regarding parks, hunting, and fishing. You will also assist law enforcement by interpreting calls, resolving human-wildlife conflicts, and coordinating hunter education classes.
Beyond the front desk, you will maintain office procedures, manage budgets for two work units, process vendor payments, and handle game damage claims. You will ensure the availability of program materials, track calendars for regional staff, and support field staff through communication and logistical coordination. This role is critical to executing the agency's strategic plan by providing high-quality customer service and administrative efficiency in the Northeast region.

Current or former State experience relevant to this position. Experience using Kronos UKG and CORE for processing state requisitions (SRQs) and receiving reports. Demonstrated experience in purchasing and P-card management in compliance with State Fiscal Rules and procurement policies. Previous experience managing daily/weekly/monthly staffing and/or OC calendar. Ability to compile, proof, and edit complex administrative reports by auditing source data across multiple systems. Familiarity with FLSA (Fair Labor Standards Act). Ability to manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously while meeting strict departmental and payroll deadlines. Experience handling sensitive personnel records, including licensure, certifications, and protected health information. Intermediate skills in writing, proofreading, and drafting Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) or administrative guides. Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Sites, Drive) and Microsoft Office Suite to manipulate data and create professional presentations.
