About the Organization

Founded in 2004, Brilliant Corners provides innovative housing and housing-related services to California's most vulnerable individuals, with a specific emphasis on those transitioning from, or at risk of, homelessness or institutionalization. We develop, own, and manage multi-family supportive housing and licensed residential care homes. Through partnerships with developmental services, homeless services, veterans' services, and health care sectors, we implement a broad array of scattered-site, one-on-one supportive housing, and clinical case management programs.

About the Role

The Accounting Supervisor, Accounts Payable (AP) serves as both a hands-on contributor and a team leader for our Northern California operations. In this role, you will oversee the day-to-day AP operations, including the supervision of a team of three accountants. You will ensure the timely and accurate processing of vendor payments, employee reimbursements, and credit card activity while maintaining strong internal controls.

You will partner closely with Programs, HR, and Finance to ensure accurate disbursements, compliance with organizational policies, and efficient workflows. Due to the dynamic nature of program funding and operational needs, you will adapt to shifting priorities and evolving processes. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a mission-driven environment and is committed to supporting diverse populations.

Key Responsibilities

  • check_circleSupervise, mentor, and develop a team of three accountants through regular check-ins and performance reviews

  • check_circleReconcile assigned balance sheet accounts and maintain supporting schedules
  • check_circleOversee prepaid expenses and amortization schedules ensuring accurate journal entries
  • check_circleSupport audit requests and provide required documentation
  • check_circleApprove timecards and review job costing and timekeeping reports

Requirements
