Account Manager (Roanoke)

About the Role

As an Account Manager within the Donor Resources Department at The Blood Connection, you will serve as the vital link between our mission and the communities we serve. Your primary objective is to manage existing blood drive accounts while simultaneously expanding our reach by securing new partnerships. This role exists to ensure we meet and exceed our collection goals and inventory needs by maximizing the production of every territory.

You will work closely with Donor Resource Department Management to strategize and execute plans that utilize corporate resources efficiently. Your day-to-day involves providing personalized, proactive support to blood drive coordinators, managing donor appointments, and leveraging marketing tools to drive participation. By building strong, lasting relationships with sponsor groups, you will transform local events into successful, life-saving initiatives.

Your Impact

In this position, you will be the face of The Blood Connection in your territory. You will educate the community by attending health fairs, speaking at houses of worship, and presenting at employee meetings to spread our message of community service. You will establish committees to recruit donors, teach recruitment techniques to sponsor groups, and hold external stakeholders accountable for achieving drive goals. Through creativity and strategic planning, you will encourage campaigns that increase donor participation and foster a culture of giving.
