About the Role
This position is dedicated to providing students with learning activities and experiences designed to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. The role exists to enable students to develop the competencies and skills necessary to function successfully in society.
As an educator, you will serve as a positive role model who supports the district's mission. Your day will involve fostering a classroom environment conducive to learning that is appropriate for the physical, social, and emotional development of students. You will manage student behavior in accordance with the Student Code of Conduct while maintaining open communication with parents, students, and colleagues through conferences and professional relationships.
The role requires a balance of instructional management and student growth. You will develop and implement lesson plans that reflect accommodations for diverse learning styles and use technology to strengthen the teaching and learning process. Beyond the classroom, you may be asked to assume responsibility for extracurricular activities and sponsor outside activities approved by the campus principal.

Educators are expected to adhere to the Texas Educators' Code of Ethics, which provides rules for standard practices and ethical conduct toward students, professional colleagues, school officials, parents, and community members. This includes maintaining confidentiality, complying with state and federal laws, and following district safety protocols and emergency procedures.
Working Environment
This position involves frequent interruptions and may require working irregular hours, including holidays and weekends. The role includes physical demands such as walking, standing, and lifting textbooks or classroom equipment. Under specific circumstances, the role may require providing physical restraint to students in danger of causing harm to themselves or others. The environment may expose the educator to temperature extremes, noise, and occasional biological hazards.
