About the Role
The 1st Assistant Golf Professional serves as a vital partner to the Director of Golf and Head Golf Professional, supporting all facets of the Wycliffe Golf and Country Club operation. This role is designed to promote the game of golf through the seamless facilitation of daily member and guest play, tournament operations, and shop management.
In this position, you will be the visible face of the club on the course and in the shop. Your day-to-day involves ensuring the smooth execution of tournament schedules, managing tee times, and maintaining a high standard of customer service. You will also play an active role in the club's teaching program, conducting lessons and clinics, while upholding the rules and regulations of Wycliffe Golf and Country Club. The role requires a balance of operational oversight, from club repair and cart management to inventory control and sales reconciliation.
Beyond daily operations, you will represent the club in the local community by participating in local golf events and volunteering professional services. Success in this role depends on maintaining open communication with the membership to gather feedback on programs and operations, while fostering a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for all staff and guests.
