The Service Technician is a vital member of the property team, performing technical and mechanical work that ensures the physical aspects of the buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas meet the Company's standards for cleanliness, appearance, safety, and overall functionality. This role is essential to maintaining the quality of life for residents and the operational efficiency of the community.
In this position, you will be the first point of contact for resident service requests, diagnosing the source of defects and executing repairs in accordance with established policies and safety standards. You will play a key role in the "make-ready" process, preparing vacant apartment homes for new residents by managing inspections, vendor scheduling, and final quality checks. Beyond individual repairs, you will contribute to the broader property environment by maintaining grounds, pressure-washing common areas, and ensuring all amenities are in top condition.
Your work directly supports cost-cutting and expense control programs by prioritizing repairs over replacements and practicing efficient use of materials and tools. You will also serve as a guardian of safety and risk management, participating in routine safety meetings, completing required training, and identifying potential hazards during property inspections.
