The Permanente Medical Group is seeking a Board Certified or Eligible Wound Care Physician to join our South Sacramento facility. This role is integral to the Greater Sacramento Valley Wound and Ostomy service, operating out of the Kaiser South Sacramento Medical Facility with time also spent at the Sacramento and Roseville campuses.
The physician will lead a team of certified wound and ostomy nurses and medical assistants, providing supervision and clinical leadership. The position offers a dynamic day-to-day environment where procedures such as debridement, hematoma evacuation, application of biologic dressings, and biopsies are central to patient care. Depending on the provider's skill set, the scope may extend to operative debridement and skin grafting. There is also potential for administrative responsibilities and involvement in the new Family Practice residency program.
As a member of one of the largest medical groups in the country, you will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team including podiatric wound care providers, vascular surgery, endocrinology, orthopedics, plastics, nutrition, and social services. The role offers a shareholder track with the opportunity for full partnership after three years of service, alongside potential for academic affiliation and research opportunities.
This is a full-time position with standard hours from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, including a one-hour lunch break. Currently, there is no call requirement. Reduced schedules with pro-rated compensation may be available upon discussion.
