About the Role
The Mental Health Worker plays a vital role in the care of psychiatric clients, operating within the scope of their specific training and experience. This position is designed to support a multidisciplinary team in delivering comprehensive, individualized care to both adults and children.
In this role, you will be an integral part of the therapeutic environment, assisting nursing and treatment staff in developing care plans and facilitating client activities. Your day-to-day responsibilities include documenting observations, promoting hygiene and safety, and leading therapy groups as assigned. You will interact with clients on an individual basis to provide appropriate interventions and report critical data to the team leader, ensuring a seamless flow of information within the clinical record.
Beyond direct client care, you will help preserve Kedren's mission and public service goals. This includes participating in fundraising activities and contributing to the establishment of internal service delivery objectives that align with the organization's commitment to social and economic justice.

Hiring Process
Candidates selected for this position will participate in on-the-job training for the first six months. We look for individuals with strong written and verbal communication skills who are physically capable of performing tasks that may involve lifting, bending, and standing. The ability to work additional hours and days as required is essential to meet the dynamic needs of our clients.
