The Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the University of Arizona and Banner University Medical Group is a dynamic academic team dedicated to advancing liver care. The division focuses on all aspects of liver disease, with a robust transplant program that manages patients through every phase of pre- and post-transplant care. The team operates within a multidisciplinary environment, actively engaging in selection committees, quality assurance initiatives, education, and research.
This position offers an excellent opportunity to advance your career in academic medicine at the assistant or associate level. As a Hepatologist, you will provide comprehensive transplant care to patients with end-stage liver disease while managing a busy Advanced Liver Disease practice. You will work alongside a dynamic multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest standard of patient outcomes.
A core component of this role is the education and training of Internal Medicine/GI residents, fellows, and medical students. You will have the opportunity to mentor trainees, prepare and present at departmental and divisional meetings, and lead clinical research initiatives. The program supports professional growth through opportunities to present at national meetings and pursue clinical research training via a Masters in Clinical Research pathway.
