Under the direction of the Chief Operating Officer, the Weekend Waterfront Manager leads all weekend waterfront operations with a strong focus on safety, compliance, and staff supervision. This position is vital to supporting the YMCA's mission of building strong kids, families, and communities. The role requires a leader who can articulate and model the YMCA's four core values: Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility.
In this role, you will manage lifeguard rotations and break schedules to ensure adequate coverage at all times. You will enforce waterfront safety standards, monitor environmental conditions, and lead emergency response efforts. Additionally, you will evaluate lifeguard performance, conduct in-service drills, and ensure all certifications remain current. A key part of your day involves fostering a culture of safety and accountability, including managing abuse risk procedures and responding to policy violations with confidentiality and care.
