The Disney culture is enchanting and unique, and we have found a kindred spirit in the living heritage and graceful rhythm of Oʻahu. Built upon 21 acres of oceanfront, Aulani, a Disney Resort & Spa, welcomes Guests in true local fashion, calling on your natural passion and Aloha spirit to help us cultivate an experience that is upbeat, colorful and rooted in tradition. While our Guests take home happiness, the legends of Oʻahu will become as much a part of them as they are of you.
As a Water Sciences Operator/Dive Technician, you will serve as a guardian of our aquatic environment, ensuring the health and safety of our animal habitats while supporting the magic of our guest experiences. This role is the backbone of our aquatic animal health program, ensuring strict adherence to water quality guidelines.
In this position, you will be the primary support for all Animal Programs dive activities, including guest programs like SAS and Underwater Explorers. You will dive to clean animal habitats, remove debris, and maintain equipment pads used for water treatment. Beyond the water, you will perform routine water quality analysis, test critical components, and run checks on control systems to ensure proper operation. You will also handle dive gear for both guest and team programs and assist with basic animal husbandry tasks such as food preparation and guest fish feeding programs.
This is an hourly role primarily working a second or third shift. You will work within a global team, often under pressure, coordinating with Animal Programs Husbandry and Maintenance Support Groups to resolve system problems and maintain a safe, enchanting environment for both our animals and our Guests.
