The San Jacinto River Authority is seeking a Wastewater Utility Operator for our Woodlands Division, located in The Woodlands, Texas. This division provides essential water and wastewater utility services to the municipal utility districts of The Woodlands.
In this role, you will operate wastewater collection, conveyance, treatment, and disposal systems with a focus on safety, cost-effectiveness, and efficiency. You will ensure strict compliance with all state and federal regulations while managing the day-to-day operations of the facility. The position requires a blend of technical oversight and hands-on field work, utilizing SCADA data and physical interaction to evaluate system pressures and equipment performance. You will play a vital part in optimizing operations, maintaining inventory, and conducting necessary field and laboratory sampling to support process and disinfection adjustments.
As a primary essential personnel, you will be prepared to respond to emergency events, including preparation, active response, and recovery phases, as directed by leadership. This is a safety-sensitive position subject to random drug and alcohol testing, reflecting our commitment to maintaining the highest standards of operational safety.
