About the Role
The Station Trainer plays a pivotal role in shaping the competency and confidence of our ground handling operations team. This position serves as the bridge between operational excellence and employee development, responsible for delivering classroom and on-the-job training (OJT), airline-specific training, and performance evaluations within your designated area of expertise.
In this dynamic environment, you will ensure that company and customer service standards are met while maintaining a high level of proficiency in required operational functions. Beyond training, you will act as an interim supervisor, providing direction and support to all new hires until they are formally released to work independently. You will monitor classroom and OJT coaching activities to ensure Swissport and local specific requirements are met, serving as a role model for best practice behavior and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleDeliver classroom and on-the-job training in various formats including virtual and self-directed learning
- check_circleMonitor and promote best practices and compliance with corporate policies and safety procedures
- check_circleImplement internal quality assurance activities including operational audits
- check_circleForecast and plan for new hire and recurrent training needs in coordination with management
- check_circleAdminister required examinations and reports to maintain global and local training compliance
- check_circleAssist with new hire tracking processes and serve as tier one support for local certified coaches
- check_circleOversee practical Cargo operations training, assessments, and sign-offs
- check_circleAssess staff competency and provide objective feedback and coaching to improve performance
Requirements
- verifiedMinimum 1 years of industry experience in airline Cargo operations
- verifiedHigh School Diploma or equivalent
- verifiedAbility to pass security clearance
- verifiedValid driver's license
- verifiedWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Nice to Have
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Demonstrated knowledge of adult learning processes, instructional design techniques, and evaluation methodologies.
