GFL Environmental is seeking a talented CDL Driver to join our team in Childersburg, AL. As a Roll-Off Driver, you will be the face of our company, responsible for safely, efficiently, and courteously providing waste removal services to customers across multiple lines of business. Your primary mission is to collect waste from customer sites and transport it to post-collection facilities for proper disposal, ensuring compliance with all environmental and safety standards.
In this role, you will navigate designated routes to mechanically collect, exchange, or deliver containers. You will interact directly with customers and the general public, answering questions and responding to requests with professionalism. The position requires a high degree of situational awareness, from maneuvering a truck into tight clearance spaces to identifying unacceptable waste materials like flammable substances. You will also play a key role in maintaining site safety by cleaning up loose debris and ensuring the truck and surrounding areas remain secure throughout the shift.
