About the Role
The Residential Driver is the face of GFL in the neighborhoods we serve. This role is responsible for safely, efficiently, and courteously providing waste removal services to our customers. You will operate rear-load, split body, curotto, or automated-side load trucks along designated routes to collect solid waste and recyclables from curbside or backdoor locations, transporting them to post-collection facilities.
Your day involves more than just driving; it is about maintaining the highest standards of safety and service. You will interact directly with the public, answering questions and responding to requests with professionalism. The role requires you to operate mechanical packers, assist helpers in loading waste, and ensure that all company policies and safety compliance standards are met. You will also be responsible for daily vehicle inspections, maintaining DOT logbooks, and ensuring the cleanliness of customer sites and roadways.

Requirements
